Tonight on "Good News Bad News"
After watching previews to a Swedish film, “Arn” (a movie riddle in cliche), I’ve come to this conclusion fit for tonight’s “Good News, Bad News”. Good News:  There appers to be some serious film making coming out of Eastern Europe Bad News: All appear to duplicate films already made in English in the form of Braveheart, Valkyrie & the Last Samurai. ...

Opening the Floodgates: Marriage
James: Fellas, I guess it has been 4 years in the making. And now....K and I are engaged! Wanted to spread the word to you guys. I cannot believe I tricked her into saying yes. Hope all is well with everyone.
Jeremy: JESUS CHRISTMAS.. look what you did, T. you just had to get married, didn't you? You opened the flood gates, and everyone rushed to join the marriage party. Now it's just me, Andrew, Ben, and Josh left. Andrew is traveling halfway across the country to see his girl so that's basically sealed.. Ben found a hot Jewish girl who he barely complains about so it's just a matter of time for him. And Josh and his girl just shot a fucking mattress commercial together. A fucking Mattress commercial! Pretty soon, I'll be the sole Bucking Bronco left. Matt will probably be divorced and remarried before I even find a girl that I'm not ashamed to bring home to meet my parents. F'ing shit man. you guys. if you weren't my buds, I'd bitch slap every last one of you. I gotta go now and fold my laundry and eat my dinner of hard boiled eggs and applesauce. Goodnight, gentlemen. Oh, and congratulations, James! have you set a date? :)

People who know what they're talking about...
Almost always talk like they know what they’re talking about. That’s why it pays to invest more time than you might imagine on the vocabulary, history and concepts of your industry. Insider language, terms of art, the ability to use technical concepts… it matters. On the other hand, sounding like you’re smart doesn’t mean you are. Necessary but not sufficient.

Starting in 2012, and a bit in delay, I’m ging to list a few lessons I learned each week and publish them. Hopefully you can take these lessons and avoid the consequences that I have suffered and will continue to suffer! LESSONS LEARNED FOR THE WEEK OF JANUARY 30th, 2012. 1.
